KG children made some amazing pieces using the craft of folding paper- ORIGAMI. Their tiny hands worked their way up and down in folding the colorful origami sheets and turning it into a beautiful hut, a fish, a swan or a tree etc. This competition was envisioned with an aim to promote productive creativity in children.

Experiential Experience!!

"Seeing is Believing" as the saying goes, is the best source of learning for everyone especially for toddlers. Young children are like wet sand, they absorb everything so firmly that such learning experiences truly provide a strong base in their formative years.
Kindergarten children today, had the same experience of understanding the properties of Water. Teacher explained water is color-less, odour-less and has got no shape. In the end, tasting session of salt, sweet and sour water also made children excited.

Pt. Girdhari Lal Salwan Memorial Cleanliness Drive

When the youth take charge
Towards awakening
And are charged to charge
There’s no hurdle worth a halt

When the future rises
It’s the present which it changes
There's no looking back
 And then the country awakes

The future of the country, the young Salwanians yet again showed their togetherness and their charged determination to spread awareness with an Awareness March and Cleanliness Drive on 8th December, 2014.
The movement started with Salwan Cleanliness Drive at Buddha Jayanti Park on 30th November, 2014. Taking the baton of the same spirit forward, the children were armed with the might of words- placards and motivating slogans to spread awareness. They displayed their concern and need for a cleaner environment and a strive towards building a neater and responsible country.

A part of Salwan Communnity Outreach Programme, the Drive was a tribute to the Founder Father, Late Pt. Girdhari Lal Salwan, It was aimed at putting the cause and message of Cleanliness under spotlight. The March was inaugurated by Sh. Pramod Tanwar, Councillor, Naraina Vihar and was joined in by the representatives of MCD Primary School, Naraina Vihar.

Brooms and Dust- pans were the students’ weapons that day and their determination to be a part of a cleaner future was their drive. The Little Salwanians cleaned the compound outside the school and the MCD park.
Their strife does not end here. The students are enthused, motivated and are determined to bring a change… The change is bound to come as the future holds the promise to it, in their hands.
