Salute And Tribute To Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam For Igniting Young Minds

Little hands and imaginative minds come together in a creative burst of energy at Salwan Junior School ,Naraina from 27th July to 31st July where little Salwanians championed the environmental cause with a "Science Week" dedicated to Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam,the missile man of India. This was done to develop in each Salwanian urge for self discovery through their efforts. Under the theme "Ignite Your minds" students actively participated in various activities as budding scientists and showcased their talents. With the encouragement from school Principal.Ms Nisha Obheroi and teachers,students became real thinkers and applied the scientific concepts in making their inventive models. They left the teachers mesmerized with their constructive ideas that turned discarded boxes,CD's,tiles,straws,cardboard's etc into innovative models. They created amazing array of masterpieces embellished with everyday trash like solar cookers,wind mills, hovercrafts,balloon powered cars,magnetic cars etc. Mind blowing, beyond expectation ideas were demonstrated by aspiring young scientists to galvanize the unparalleled contributions of Late Abdul Kalam.

The Tricolour Extravaganza- Independence Day Celebrations!!

All my regards, all honour to you my motherland!!
A proud occasion for all Indians, the Indian Independence Day was celebrated in the school on 13th August, 2015, in the school premises. The chief- Guest of the occasion, Mr. Vijendra Garg, MLA, Rajendra Nagar area, unfurled the National Flag and initiated the celebrations in presence of the Hon’ble Chairman of the school, Maj. Gen J.K. Kapoor.
The students presented a beautiful amalgamation of all their efforts put in together, Dance Music, Speeches and a medley of Yoga, Gymnastics and Skating. The chief Guest, Mr. Garg congratulated the students and commended their impeccable efforts. He encouraged the students to outdo their own efforts and strive for excellence in all what they do as It would be their collective success which would therefore drive the country towards excellence.
The whole presentation was stitched and mastered by the students themselves. It was a sight worth remembering when students as young as 6 years of age took over the stage with immaculate confidence and fearlessness!
An obvious sign of freedom of thought, expression and overcoming hurdles… That’s what Independence signifies for these little ones!!

1st Yoga Championship Scavenge -: 2015-16

1st Yoga Championship organized by Sportation,a division of Erschaffer India 2015-16, took place on 23rd July,at S.D.Public School,Pitampura. 45 schools participated in it. 26 students of Salwan Junior School,Naraina participated in this championship under junior category. Our school won six medals,one Silver and six Bronze.The names of winners are -:

  • Krrish Comar Bronze IIIB
  • Lakshita Bronze IVA
  • Kaavya Kalihan Rajput Bronze V B
  • Agam Singh Bronze V A


Participation certificates were awarded to all the participants. This Yoga championship gave a great boost to self confidence of the students.

CELEBRATION OF VAN MAHOTSAV   - A Plantation Drive


As a part of Van Mahotsav celebrations throughout the country, afforestation drive is launched by Salwan Junior School Narina on 29th July, in a bid to retain the greenery of our surroundings. It is Salwan Community Outreach Programme .The plantation drive was aimed at spreading awareness in the neighbourhood and preserving and conserving the environment. Salwan Narina has adopted nearby Parks for the Plantation Drive. The first plant was rooted by Hon'ble Councilor  Naraina Shri Pramod Tanwar. Subsequently Presidentof RAW (Resident Welfare Association) and other eminent members planted trees in the park. School Principal Ms. Nisha Obheroi and Honorable Director Shri J.N.Chopra also marked the green achievement drive's success by planting a tree each. Students of school very enthusiastically planted saplings of plants in the garden.
