Christmas Celebrations

We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
And a happy new year....

Our school roared and cheered with many carols and songs which brought joy to our school as we celebrated Christmas under the platinum jubilee celebrations of our school trust. This celebration has been witnessed by all the Salwanians students in all the eleven branches of in and around Delhi.
At Salwan Naraina, the celebrations began with Lord's Prayer recited by our Montessori students, followed by the prayer- showers of blessings. This auspicious beginning led the way to the carols sung by Montessori choir group.
Further, our students showcased the nativity pageant depicting the birth of the saviour of the world- Lord Jesus!! And it was celebrated by singing joy to the world by our primary choir group with few more carols.

These celebrations continued with a Santhali dance performance by our students which added a tribal dimension to the festivities!
The chief guest of the programme Rev. Father Manoj Mathews graced the occasion and interacted with our students. Father Mathews highlighted the teachings of Lord Jesus and gave the message of 'giving' and 'sharing' through these celebrations.
Furthermore, students of Montessori went out for a stroll in the park, after the indoor celebrations. Singing carols in the park and merry making, our toddlers thoroughly enjoyed this magnanimous Christmas fiesta. Santa Claus, reindeers, elves, Angels filled the ambience with joyous mood. All students were happy to receive their goody bags from their 'Santa', who dashed through the snow to wish ....HO HO HO.. MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIENDS! Merry Christmas to one and all.

We envision every child's growth and progress in partnership with the stakeholders of the school along with amalgamation of our rich Indian heritage and culture through the grandparents, thereby giving them the top most pedestal in the circle of learning process.
Keeping up with this belief, the students of KG classes celebrated Grandparents' Day on 19.11.16 (Sat.) wherein all the Dadaism, dadi his, Navajos and nani his were invited to be honoured by their grandchildren.
Students presented a skit showcasing the importance of love and harmony amongst all and the harmful effects of hatred on our personality. An interactive session between the grandparents and the students was lively and discussions were held on today's generation and the past times.
Concluding the programme, all kindergarteners presented a token of gratitude to their grand parent with a hand made card and a flower! with few lines on the grandparent.
Honourable chairman of the school Maj. Gen. J.K. Kapoor addressed the gathering with his words of wisdom with the grandparents and shared his experiences with his grandchildren .

Dussehra

Dussehra

Dussehra one of the religious festivals epitomises the sheer importance of victory of good over evil.
The celebration of triumph of goodness in all of us, the good habits and thoughts in all of us must always be feeded more over bad and evil thoughts.
The depiction of the same was done today in the school by students of class II by killing 10 evils like anger, jealousy, hatred, disobedience, immorality, lying, stealing etc. (Dressed as ravana of modern time) by good thoughts which should always win over these.
The school choir sang a bhajan on shri Ram 'epitome of goodness' followed by the celebration of Dussehra of modern times.
