EXCURSION TO AIR FORCE MUSEUM AND NEHRU
PARK
On February 17, students of class IV went on an excursion to the Indian Air Force Museum loacted at the Palam Air Force Station.
The Air Force Museum, the only one of its kind in India, houses a rich collection of memorabilia of Indian military aviation and has an extensive display of the history of the Indian Air Force. Infact the experience was a great treat for the aviation enthusiasts amongst our students who got a first hand familiarisation with the equipments and history.World War to the Kargil operation, photographs, momentoes, souvenirs, models and specimen of real aircraft provided a rare peak into our glorious flying past. The students very well learnt that
" We may not be able to die for our nation, but let us strive to live for it and make this diverse country a better place for the entire Indian nation."
Thereafter, we went to Nehru Park as we at SJS believe that one of the best ways to delight a child is to take a break from the routines for an excursion to the park. Once the students entered, we settled down and the set out on a nature trail. On our way we pointed out the diverse varieties of foliage around us. We identified the numerous shades of green. After the nature walk, the children sat together and enjoyed a sumptuous spread of breakfast with their friends.Reluctantly thereafter, we boarded the buses to conclude the day of joy and fun for all.
