Time for CHILDREN'S PARK, an Excursion by KG Class



Excursions are a way to let children be themselves in the natural surroundings, be it a park or a museum or an outdoor location. This time KG children went for an excursion to Children’s Park near India Gate on 5.12.14.
Children enjoyed themselves in the lush green lawns under sunlight and on the swings. They had an amazing time exploring all variety of jungle gyms, fun-slides, into the pipe-slider etc. They also danced their way towards the dance-area near the water fountain and fish-aquarium too. Stupendous day filled with games in the park and thorough enjoyment brought a cheerful smile on every child’s face.

Sports Day- STAY FIT 2014

                                       Culminating Sports and Making it a way of Life!!
SJS celebrated its Annual Sports Day: STAY FIT 2014 on 23.11.14 at Salwan Public School, Rajinder Nagar Grounds with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Competitions at Kindergarten Level



A rich variety of co-curricular activities contribute to the overall development of the child, while at the same time, making school life an enjoyable experience. Wide spectrum of activities is organized throughout the year which helps in developing a sense of team spirit and healthy competition among the pupils. 

Recently, KG classes had Mask Making, English Story Narration and Drawing and Coloring Competitions wherein children enjoyed expressing their creativity in all the events- their choice of animal, color and method of decoration helped in crafting their favorite masks ,weaving their fantastic stories with beautifully showcased props along with their creativity on drawing paper with colors and shimmer showed their interests. 













Our Day....Children's Day!!



Childhood is about innocence and playfulness, joy and freedom. This enjoyment and happiness was especially planned in a fun-filled manner on 14.11.14: Children’s Day, marking the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru - who was the first Prime Minister of independent India.
Young toddlers enjoyed a day full of fun and frolics through Games and Races. Children balanced themselves with a clown’s hat and a toy-spoon and ballgame. Children also, enjoyed putting hoopla rings on colored sticks along with walking on balancing bricks.

Children's Day is all about giving the child the right kind of knowledge and freedom to enjoy, so that they can grow as healthy and educated citizens of the country.

The Prakash Utsav of Guru Nanak Dev Ji was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm in our school by children of Class III. The Programme showcased the religious fervour of the students through a skit which comprised of Shabad and Kirtan. They stressed on the importance of unflinching faith in the Guru through poems, speeches and sakhis portraying the life history of the ‘Guru Nanak.’
