Dussehra Assembly

Hindi Diwas

HINDI DIWAS
Hindi, our National language, the language that binds our whole nation together, is celebrated as one of the most scientific and developed languages in the world.
Hindi was given the status of the National Language in the year 1949. In commemoration of the same, Hindi Diwas was celebrated in the school on 14th September, 2015.
The theme of this year’s Hindi Diwas celebrations was “Our National Symbols “.
A special assembly was organized by the students of Class V. An array of competitions on the occasion was also held in the classes.
A language although cannot be celebrated in a day, it takes years and centuries to build it, conserve it and maintain it intact. However this attempt by SJS was aimed at instilling in the students respect and reverence for their mother tongue and one of the biggest national symbols of India.
