A positive parent-teacher relationship helps children feel
good about school and be successful in school. This positive relationship makes
a child feel like the important people in his life are working together.
The parents need information about what and how their child
is learning, and the teacher needs important feedback from the parent about the
child’s academic and social development. To strategize and work upon this, we
came up with an initiative called ‘The Parent Teaching Programme.'
One Parent from all the classes was invited to the school last
week to teach their child’s class and get a first hand experience of managing
and working towards the benefits of all children. All children were happy and
excited and shared their experiences with their new parent-teacher by the end
of the day.
