Mathemagic !!!!
A mathematics workshop was organized at Salwan Junior
School, Naraina Vihar on 25th Aug’15. The objective was to acquaint
the students about the magical world of numbers and calculations. The program
was conducted by Mr. Manish Jain, a renowned mathematician. He, with his
commendable mathematical skills completely engaged the students by arousing
their inquisitiveness to understand the amazing tricks and patterns. This
followed a brainstorming session whereby, many students came up with their own
magical patterns. Mr. Jain also apprised the students with the contribution of
the great mathematician – “Ramanujan” and familiarized the students with the
history of the famous Ramanujan number – ‘1729’. The little mathematicians at
Salwan were completely captivated in solving mind boggling puzzles and realized
the importance of mathematics in daily life.
Mr. Jain enthralled the teachers and students with his
expertise in mathematics and provided a creative and constructive atmosphere
throughout the session.
