Visit To ISKON Temple On 20th February,2016

ISKON DELHI Temple,is a well known Vaishnav temple of Lord Krishna and Radharani.It is located at Hare Krishna Hills,in the East Of Kailash area of New Delhi.

     Our school students of Classes IV and V visited ISKON Temple on 20th February,2016. Students first visited Vedic Expo. It is highly interactive 3D show in temple complex. It describes Bhagavad Gita Teachings in a very interactive manner. After this students visited main temple. They were fortunate to see “Abhishakam” of Lord Krishna on the occasion of Balram Jayanti.Students offered prayers to the Deities,they sang bhajans and danced along with the priests to show their enthusiasm. Then our students were offered “Bhoga Ka Prasad”, after the prayers to the deities are completed.

     It is truly a holy place,one could experience spiritual essence of Lord Krishna.On the way back each student was presented our holy book Bhawat Gita

CARNIVAL

Salwan Smart Sense Spree 2016

On 4.3.16, our school organised ‘Salwan Smart Sense Spree 2016 – a Multiple Intelligence Carnival’ in Rajouri Garden.

This carnival aimed at 8 Multiple Intelligence areas suggested by Dr. Howard Gardener – thereby infusing 8 interesting game stalls were conceptualised based on linguistic, logical, kinaesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalist……

Apart from the delicious refreshment, Adventure activities were also a part of the Carnival where parents and children of classes Nur, KG, and I thoroughly enjoyed the fanfare.

Children of class I inaugurated the event with their two hosts Jayesh and Krishang Sachdeva of I-B welcomed their peers to initiate the presentation with felicitation of Honourable Chairman Sir- Gen. J.K. Kapoor (Retd.), Honourable Director Sir-  and respected Principal ma`am Ms. Nisha Obheroi. Furthermore, school choir sang songs, children recited poems, danced to folk music and presented their sporting skills through gymnastics, martial arts, and skating.

Thereafter followed a motivational talk by our honourable Chairman Sir who inspired parents to be more involved in the holistic development approach of school towards children and work in partnership in bringing out the best in Salwanians.

Farewell

 FAREWELL

To bid adieu to the outgoing students of class V, a farewell was organised by students and teachers of class IV at Salwan Junior School, Naraina on 27.03.16. The celebration commenced with a Prayer by the school choir followed by some blissful rendition by class IV and V. An array of activities including the creative “cup song,” fun and wonderment of “ Magical Show,” and  “delightful dance numbers” were the main highlights of the event. The students of class V recounted their school memories and experiences in emotional and nostalgic overtones. They considered themselves fortunate to be a part of SJS and thanked the Principal Ma'am and the teachers for their unflinching support. The entire school was filled with mixed emotions.To mark the end of the programme, our Principal Ma'am, Ms. Nisha Obheroi addressed the students and wished them with love and luck for their life with a beautiful message-

 Ford every stream, 
Follow every rainbow, 
Till you find your dream.”
