CHILDREN'S DAY

"A DAY OF BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES AND CELEBRATION OF INNOCENCE"
Back in school, all of us would wait for Children's Day, where we would feel special and enjoy the day of fun and frolic. It was a reminder of what a privelege it was to be a kid in a world filled with endless possibilities, one in which we could dream endlessly and live as though the world is a stage and we could play any role they wanted.
In order to celebrate the childhood of our Salwanians and fill their day with sweet memories, innocuous desires and unconditional happiness we celebrated THEIR day with great enthusiasm. It started with a Magic show that was organized in the school foyer a day before, and left them awestruck and amazed. The magic words and the distinctive style of the magician kept everybody astounded. All of them could not stop clapping as he unfolded his magic tricks one by one. The lively and fun filled session of the magician was a great success.

This was followed by a valuable STORY TELLING SESSION by Ms. Sanjum Sethi on 14.11.17, wherein the students thoroughly enjoyed her narration. The appropriate use of voice modulation and body language infused passion, enhanced imagination and expression, and encouraged the young souls for creative thinking.
As a token of love and blessings from the school, each child was given refreshment and a handmade card from their class teachers.

Author's Meet

MOVING ENGLISH FORWARD: AUTHORS MEET
We at SJS are passionate about enabling children to experience the magic of books and meeting their favourite writers or discovering new ones. What better way to encourage reading for pleasure in schools/libraries , than by having top quality speakers to enthuse and motivate our students about the joy of reading through STORYTELLING. Taking this notion ahead, a renowned storyteller, Ms. Sonia Dugal was invited on 27 October,2017. Her story telling session involving her actions, narration and voice modulation was highly enjoyed by the children.
