HINDI DIWAS

A NATION IS DUMB WITHOUT A NATIONAL LANGUAGE

"In our thirst for exploring new horizons of knowledge and learning new languages, we should not forget our mother tongue," was the message given by the students of SJS on 4th October, 2017.
Hindi is our national language, a language which gives us the identity of being an Indian and stand apart from the crowd of countless many.To celebrate the origin and promote the appropriate usage of our mother tongue, SJS celebrated Hindi Diwas with complete spirit and gusto. As part of observing 'HINDIDIWAS,' a special assembly marked the occasion with the students highlighting the importance of Hindi in our lives. The main attraction of the programme was the role enactment by the students of class V, who were dressed up as famous Hindi authors like GULZAR, SUBHADRA KUMARI CHAUHAN, AMRITA PRITAM etc and beautifully recited their poems to apprise the students about them followed by some interesting facts about them by Ms. Madhu.
The day was celebrated with an aim to rekindle the love for India's official language among the young Salwanians.
