                                      Let’s salute the nation on this auspicious day.

INDEPENDENCE DAY was celebrated with zeal and spirit in SJS.The function began with the unfurling of the National Flag by our Chairman and other MC members, followed by the patriotic renditions sung by the students which charged up the atmosphere with patriotic spirit. Thereafter, the cultural program began with the school choir. The highlight of the day was the enactment on 'IS INDIA REALLY FREE?, where the students very well depicted how India is still trapped in the clutches of various evils and urged to the audience to get freedom from a whole lot of social evils and problems like poverty, corruption, illiteracy etc.that have their stronghold in India.The depiction concluded with the pledge, where the students advised the young Salwanians to be an active and responsible citizen in the advancement and progress of the nation by upholding our school's motto- "SERVICE BEFORE SELF" so that we can meet the YOUNG INDIA emerging with flying colors, dynamic and versatile in every manner.
