VRIKSHA RAKSHA BANDHAN: BUILDING A SACRED BOND WITH ENVIRONMENT!!
Raksha Bandhan literally means ‘bond of protection’, it’s a bond of love, purity and security.To keep up the green tradition, students of Salwan Junior School tied Rakhis to trees on 4 August, 2017 as a symbolic gesture to create awareness among people to protect the trees.Taking the vow to protect and conserve them, the students expressed their love and affection towards the trees.The motto of this unique initiative was to strengthen the bond between man and nature and further use such events as an opportunity
to promote awareness about importance of trees, environmental balance
and sustainable lifestyles.
