TREE PLANTATION : BREATHING NEW LIFE INTO OUR   SURROUNDINGS!!

As part of Salwan Junior School's clean and green initiative, a tree plantation programme was organized on 25 July,2017.The event connected the students to the benefits of trees and fostered environmental sensitivity in them. It also brought them closer to the environment as they were briefed about the significance of evergreen trees, how to plant them and their after care.

The plantation drive by SJS,was a perfect example of how schools, students and community can work together in tandem towards a cleaner and greener city. The personal involvement of the students helped them in understanding the important role of trees and it is hoped that this experience will help them to make intelligent decisions about conservation and use of valuable resources.

It is hoped that in the coming years our Green ambassadors not just plant more and more trees but also take care of them, watch them grow and be able to bask in their glorious beauty.
