Republic Day Celebrations

Republic Day

“More than 1600 languages, 6400 castes, 6 major religions and one country. Proud to be an Indian”.
Freedom, Contentment, Pride for our Country were the sentiments of all Salwanians on the occasion of celebration of 67th Republic Day celebration in our school. Youngsters of class I-B celebrated Unity in Diversity with the musical imtiatum of school choir singing: ‘Hum Panchi Unmukt Gagan Ke' depicting free India.
Thereafter the function was taken over by two of our young MC`s from I-B: Krishang Sachdeva and Kartikay Tanwar who invited their peers one after the other to explain the relevance of Republic Day celebrations, followed by a small cultural parade wherein children dressed in attires of different states and nationalities introduced themselves.
Towards the end, the MC's welcomed a group dance performance which showcased our strength, our diverse culture, our unity through a melodious musical composition- Mile Sur Mera Tumhara.
The apt dance number was the crux of the republic Day celebration witnessed by the entire school – both children and staff members.
The efforts of young Salwanians were applauded by everyone present as the myriad of values aer learned and instilled in children through such Assemblies like value of being together, staying connected with our distinct personalities clubbed under one name: My India-My Country.
